Welcome to Waka, where our roots run deep in the vibrant culture of Fiji. From the heart of this beautiful island nation, we’ve embarked on a journey, reconnecting with our ancestry and the essence of our heritage. Waka, meaning “Roots” in Fijian, embodies the very foundation of our family and the values we hold dear.

Jonathan the father of the Waka family was born in Fiji, and the move was Inspired by our family trips back to his fathers village and the potential we saw. We made the life-changing decision to move our family from the bustling streets of Canada to our small village on the 2nd largest island in Fiji, Vanua Levu. This move wasn't just a change in location; it was a step towards our roots, a return to cultural origins, to provide employment in our community, and a chance to pass down tradition to our children.
